Protect Your Brand with A&A Intellectual Property
In today’s competitive business landscape, protecting your brand is essential. Registering a trademark is one of the most effective ways to safeguard your brand name, logo, and identity. However, navigating intellectual property (IP) registration in the UAE — whether it’s a trademark, copyright, or patent — can be a complex process requiring legal expertise and proper documentation.
At A&A Intellectual Property, we offer expert consultation and end-to-end support to register your trademark efficiently and professionally in the UAE.
Why Register a Trademark in the UAE?
- Legal Ownership: Registration gives you exclusive rights to use your trademark within the UAE. Without registration, others may claim and register it.
- Brand Protection: Prevents unauthorized use, counterfeiting, or copying by competitors.
- Business Expansion: Facilitates licensing, franchising, or entering into partnerships and new markets.
- Asset Value: Trademarks become valuable intangible assets that increase your brand’s market worth.
4 Easy Steps to Register a Trademark in the UAE
- Power of Attorney (POA)
We’ll assist you in preparing the POA form. You’ll need to provide:
- Company trade license
- Passport copy and Emirates ID of the signatory
We will return the POA form with our details and trade license.
- If you are based in the UAE: The POA must be notarized locally.
- If based outside the UAE: The POA must be legalized up to the UAE Embassy.
- Trademark Details
Send us the following:
- Trademark logo or wordmark (JPEG format)
- List of products or services you wish to protect
- Indicate whether the application is under a company or individual’s name
- Trademark Classification
Trademarks are classified under 45 classes:
- Classes 1–34 cover goods
- Classes 35–45 cover services
We use a single-class filing system in the UAE. This means each class requires a separate application. If you’re unsure of the correct class, our team can assist you in classifying your goods/services accurately.
- Payment & Filing
An advance payment covers:
- Official filing fee
- Publication in the official gazette
Once the application is submitted, and provided there is no rejection during examination or third-party opposition, we will proceed with the final fee payment to obtain the Certificate of Registration.
